The KODERUS 2IN1 facade does not require special maintenance, but
in everyday life, there may be situations where the facade gets dirty
or affected by environmental factors (such as birds, etc.). Therefore,
we have prepared a short guide on how to maintain the aesthetics and
functionality of the facade over time.

1. CLEANING

• For light dirt, use a soft brush and water.
• For tougher stains, a mild cleaning agent and low-pressure washing equipment are suitable.
• Unpainted KODERUS 2IN1 panels can be gently scrubbed.

*Always test the cleaning solution on a small,less visible area first.

IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO USE AGGRESSIVE CHEMICAL
CLEANERS, AS THEY CAN SEVERELY DAMAGE THE PROTECTIVE CONCRETE LAYER OR HARM THE PAINT. AVOID
ACIDIC AND ALKALINE CLEANING AGENTS.

2. INSPECTING FOR CRACKS AND DEFECTS

• Check the facade for cracks or chipping. Regularly inspect the concrete to prevent further damage.
• For larger damages, seek professional assistance for repairs.

If mechanical damage affecting the facade’s performance occurs, each panel can be replaced
with a repair panel. To replace a panel, the entire concrete surface of the damaged panel must
first be removed, then the foam insulation should be cut to the required depth, and a new panel
should be glued in place using mounting adhesive.(A hand saw with fine teeth or a special cutting
knife is used for cutting the insulation material.)

3. SURFACE PROTECTION

• Use special sealants and waterproofing agents designed for concrete surfaces to protect against moisture.
• Choose high-quality paint designed for mineral surfaces that is
  resistant to environmental effects.
• Apply protective layers, such as acrylic or silicone sprays, to shield
  the concrete from atmospheric influences.

4. DEPENDING ON TEXTURE

• Smooth surfaces are easier to clean, but dirt is more visible.
• Textured surfaces collect dust, so they require more thorough
  cleaning.
